Thanks to current 8th-grade parents Rhonda Walker and Sloane Harris, the NYC High School Admission Support Group blog is reactivated!
It is set it up to be as interactive and "real time" as possible. Your comments will be posted daily (well almost daily :-) from now until the applications are due in early December and, thereafter, on a weekly basis.

I believe so. In our year, we knew students who requested an interview within the proper time period who were not granted an interview. We assumed because they did not meet the requirements.
ReplyDeleteThat is so helpful to know, thanks. Can't imagine that they would have time to waste otherwise. I guess that's why Beacon requested the name of our guidance couunselor.
ReplyDeleteBard gives potential applicants a 1.5 hour assessment test, and uses the test to determine who is called back for an interview. The Principal mentioned she is less interested in a student's performance on the state tests (2,3,4) than she is on his/her Bard assessment and 7th grade report card.
